I had to write this, call it a sequel to
Fool, a story written in response to that awful
rumor. I just couldn't leave it like that, it would be against j/c as we
know it. Here is my correction.

A Fool Finds Paradise
By Sheri
Kathryn strode into the room, already full of people. She felt Tashal's presence behind her, guiding her the rest of the way into the crowd. It was their six-month reunion, Tom Paris' idea, to keep the family together.
"Captain, it's good to see you, or should I say Admiral," said Tom, coming up to greet her.
"Tom, please call me Kathryn, you more than earned that privilege. Tom this is my friend Tashal, Tashal this is Tom Paris," she said, introducing the two of them.
B'Elanna joined them carrying little Miral, "Its been a while, how have you been?" she asked eyeing Tashal.
"Oh B'Elanna, is this Miral, she's gotten so big."
Tashal took Kathryn's coat, and went to go hang it up, so B'Elanna moved in, "My god, who is that? He is gorgeous? Are you dating him?"
Kathryn picked up Miral, and began cooing at her like it was her second language, after playing with her for a minute she looked up and said, "His name is Tashal, and yes, I guess you could say we're dating," said Kathryn questioningly.
"Ohh, is there more to this story? Like are the two of you having sex?" said B'Elanna.
"B'E, god you can't ask her that," said Tom sounding shocked.
"Why not, she's not my Captain any more, I would like to consider her my friend. And if I'm not mistaken friends gossip, so...tell me it all." B'Elanna eyed Kathryn in a questioningly way, to see if she agreed.
Kathryn laughed, turned to see where Tashal was standing, then turned back to B'Elanna, "God yes, we're having sex, do you think I'm stupid?"
B'Elanna roared, " He is just so beautiful, you would make some beautiful kids you know."
"Oh please, he is not that kind of person. He's fun, he's great in bed, but he doesn't really want a commitment," Kathryn explained, With just a touch of sadness in her voice.
The conversation was cut short by Tashal's return, "So, just what are we talking about here," he asked.
"Just catching up," said Kathryn with a smile, "Lets go get something to drink. B'Elanna, I'm sure I'll see you around, I have more catching up to do here," She said as they parted.
The couple spent the next hour mingling around the crowd. Kathryn still hoped to see Chakotay. She's surprised he hasn't arrived. After all… he was the First Officer. She keeps eyeing the door, making sure she won't miss him when he arrives. She desperately wanted to talk to him, apologize for the way she acted when they last seen each other, but she was beginning to doubt if he was coming.
She had asked B'Elanna, but she said she had no idea. Chakotay had become distant with her, B'Elanna believed there was trouble in the drone paradise, but Chakotay never said one way or another.
She didn't have to wait too long for her answer, Chakotay came walking in with Seven, looking as handsome as ever. She turned to Tashal, "He made it, I would like to go say hi."
"That’s fine, I can't wait to meet him," he replied.
Kathryn stepped in front of him, "Listen, if I get a chance I would like to talk to him. With my office upstairs, I just may take him up there, I have an apology to make," she explained.
"I know Kathryn, it's fine. I'm having a
great time here, and I'm a big boy, I'll be fine," he said.
They made there way back through the crowd,
over to where Chakotay was standing, looking a little lost, "Chakotay,
I'm glad you could make it."
"Cap... Admiral, it's nice to see you," he said a little coldly.
"It's still just Kathryn, Chakotay. How have you been?" she asked, still a little nervous.
"Oh, it's ok, how about you? Are you supposed
to do some introductions?" he said, motioning to Kathryn companion, a little
surprised to see Kathryn there with someone
.
"Sorry, Tashal, this is Chakotay, Chakotay
this is Tashal." The two men shook hands. "Chakotay, when you get a chance,
I would like to talk to you in private, if you didn't mind."
Chakotay looked surprised, but still responded, "That would be fine, let me say hello to a few people here, and I'm all yours."
They parted way's while he went off to do his greetings, then joined back up a half hour later, "How about now Kathryn, Seven is quite busy with the doctor."
"Sure, let's go up to my office, we'll have a bit more privacy up there." They made small talk about the little things going on in their lives in the lift on the way up, until they reached their destination. She keyed in her code and walked in, with him following.
"So what is this about Kathryn?" he asked, still a bit confused about Kathryn's behavior.
"I wanted to... no I need to say I'm sorry. I acted so childish when you told me about you and Seven, I shouldn't have, I was wrong and I am sorry," she said, as she played with her hands.
"Wow, apology accepted. But ..." he hesitated for a moment, "you weren't entirely wrong."
Kathryn looked confused, "I wasn't?"
For Chakotay it suddenly all came out, six months worth of frustration, "what the hell was I thinking, I have never been more miserable in my life. When we got home we Seven and I talked, and she said she wanted my help in continuing her exploration of humanity. It seems, a short time before we got home she did some exploring in the holodeck, with a holocharacter in my image. It didn't work out for her at that time, but she was curious if she took it at a slower pace if it would work out this time. I was intrigued, and wanted to try." He was pacing the room, words just spilling out of him.
"I guess I can understand that, I never gave you any indication of any of my feelings, I really can't blame you," she said a little remorsely.
"Well, I guess I had these ... dreams of how it would go, a nice slow romance, I don't know. But it was far from that, she was the same Seven that we all knew on the ship, and she wanted nothing to do with 'furthering her humanity' in fact she fought it on every corner. It was a month ago that I got her to call me Chakotay, up until then I was still Commander. She still sleeps in her alcove, and would never sleep in bed with me. She wanted nothing to do with sex or any type of intimacy, saying due to her borg implants it would endanger her health." You could hear the sadness in his voice.
"I don't know what to say... " she began.
"Kathryn, I'm sorry, I'm sure you don't want to hear all of this. I've just been holding it in for so long, I guess I really needed to talk to someone."
"It's ok Chakotay, I'm glad you could turn to me," she said.
"Kathryn, I have to ask or it will haunt me forever. If I didn't do this with Seven, would you and I have had a chance?"
"Oh Chakotay, I don't know what to say... I..." This was one question she didn't expect.
"It's ok, I shouldn't have asked. I know I blew it."
"Chakotay would you let me finish, I wanted nothing more than to be with you. I did have hopes of being with you, but don't worry, I'm ok."
"Yeah, Tashal seems nice, you two look happy together."
"Oh, we're happy..." she began.
"What, not all what it seems either?" he asked, but honestly knowing the answer.
Kathryn sighed, "No, not really. He's a great guy, but not interested in commitment. I guess I got caught up in the idea of being with someone again, and didn't look out for the fact that it would just be that."
"Just being with someone isn't everything, is it?"
"No, I want the closeness, the tenderness, the love, not just the warm body to hold you once in a while, when it's convenient to him" she walked toward the window, looking out towards the gardens.
He followed, standing right behind her, "I want to fix this, I'm just not sure if we can. What do you think?"
"I think ..." she said a little uncertain at first, but gaining boldness as every second ticked by. "I think I want you to kiss me," she daringly said.
He paused, searching for uncertainty, finding only determination and love but only for a moment before turning her to face him, taking her face in his hands, and bringing his lips to hers. Their lips met in a gentle kiss, his tongue just barely snaking out to taste her lips. She sighed, then met his lips, pulling in his bottom lip before completely drowning into the kiss.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, never once breaking from the kiss, and found herself pressing up against him eliciting a groan from Chakotay, "Kathryn, we have to stop before this goes to far."
She pulled her face away, "Maybe your right."
She let her hand wander to his chest, trying to concentrate on something else, calm her body down. It didn't work, her hand wandered lower, until her fingers rested at the fastening of his trousers. "Then again, maybe not."
Their lips met again, this time more fierce. Their tongues dueled, as her hands worked at the fasteners, quickly undoing them allowing his erection to spring forth. She sat in the chair at the desk and pulled him close, her small hand wrapping around his erection, then bringing it to her mouth.
She licked the large purple head, swirling her tongue around the small opening, then flicking it. Chakotay jerked, "God Kathryn, please. I won't last like that," he said, pulling her out of the chair, kissing her, then picking her up and sitting her on her desk. " and you know it. grinning wickedly". He hoisted up her dress, and quickly pulled off her panties, before diving in between her legs.
He latched onto her bundle of nerves, pulling it in, between his teeth, then releasing it. His tongue came out to taste her juices, "Ooh Chakotay, that feels so good."
He smiled then continued his ministrations, bringing her to an explosive climax. He gave her no time to come down from the high of the orgasm, he cleared a spot on her desk, shoving everything to the floor and lowered her down. He pulled her bottom to the edge of the desk and placed her legs on his shoulders. He placed his hard organ at her wet entrance, and waited only a moment before plunging in.
He began the pace, slow at first, then fast, "oh Kathryn, you feel wonderful," he moaned.
"Oh god, don't stop," she pleaded, doing her best to keep up with his pace. Before long Chakotay pace faltered, and he groaned as he shot his seed deep within her.
"oh, I'm sorry," he said, "I didn't wait for you."
"Its ok Chakotay, that was ... wonderful," she said, pulling him close.
"It was paradise Kathryn, I've found paradise," he said, resting his head on her chest.
"You know Chakotay, as much as I want to stay here forever like this," she breathed still caressing him, "this desk is killing my back, and we left over one hundred people downstairs waiting for us to return."
"Oh man, along with your boyfriend, and my girlfriend, if you want to call them that," he was shaking his head.
"We'll figure this out Chakotay," she said kissing him as he got up. She felt a slight twinge of guilt at what they did, only because she was going to go downstairs, and Tashal would probably realize what happened. But would he be bothered? Probably not, so why should she?
He smiled at her, "One way or another, I know."

They checked their clothing once more before
walking back into the room, Kathryn was stopped by Tashal, "I was worried,
you were gone for quite a while, are you ok?"
"I'm sorry, we didn't expect ... to be gone that long. Of course everything is ok," she said not looking him in the eye.
"Oh, I know that look, it's really ok isn't it?" he asked.
She turned away, "I'm sorry."
"Don't be, but you do realize your stuck with me for the rest of the night, unless that means that blonde Chakotay came in with is now free," he laughed.
"Oh god, I don't think you would be interested Tashal, I know you all too well," she said. She got a mental picture of Tashal trying to seduce Seven and miserably failing when Seven gives him a speech about her anatomy and borg implants and laughed, "Besides, I don't abandon my dates, you are stuck with me tonight."
She saw Chakotay approach Seven, not knowing if this would hurt her or not. Tashal would be fine, it wouldn't have lasted much longer between them anyway, yet she felt Seven would have stuck with Chakotay for as long as she could, not really knowing any better. She hoped Seven will be ok with it, that they could still be friends after all this.

Epilogue:
Kathryn strode into the room, already full of people . She reached behind her, needing that contact from Chakotay, his hand met hers to pull her back to him, "You ok?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that we haven't seen Seven since the day you moved out, I wonder if she'll be here."
His hand moved to her swollen belly, caressing the life with in, "Don't worry about it Kathryn. I'm sure Seven did fine, she didn't need me there. I don't honestly think she really wanted me there."
"Chakotay, there she is, over there with the Doctor," Kathryn noticed.
It took only a few minutes before Seven noticed them and came up to greet them, "It's good to see you both, I see you're expecting a child."
"Hi Seven, yes, I'm due in four more weeks. How have you been?" asked Kathryn.
"I have been fine. As you might know I have been working with Star Ship design now. It is challenging work, keeps me efficiently occupied," explained Seven.
"That’s great Seven," said Chakotay.
"Yes, it is. And it keeps me close to the Doctor, since he is more familiar with my medical needs, it is better for the both of us. Besides, I do enjoy visiting with him on occasion. You do not need to worry about me Com... Chakotay, I believe we are both where we belong now," Seven said wisely.
"Yes, Seven I think you are right," said Chakotay. He embraced his wife, he was a fool to walk away from her, but at least this fool found paradise once again.
