It's Over

Rated NC17

Kathryn remained still, leaning against the console, staring at Seven, the woman who had changed her life so drastically. So many feelings ran through her that she found it hard to keep them all in check.

Joy at knowing that Seven had finally embraced her humanity and had taken that step into a relationship that many, including herself, where afraid to take.

Sadness at knowing that since they were now home  her connection with Seven, little as it was now, would be severed and someone else would be there to help and guide her if she even needed that now.

But most of all she felt anger. Anger at this woman for stepping in and taking the one man that Kathryn held dear to her heart. How could she do that to her? Did she realize what she had done?

It was because of Seven that Admiral Janeway had become a driven and lonely old woman.  Well, maybe not entirely so, but she knew Seven had been a significant factor in it. She knew that Chakotay, once in a relationship, would devote himself entirely to the relationship and  that she would have been slowly pushed out.

Now all that was changed.  That future no longer existed.  Yet nothing had changed Now Chakotay and Seven were free to explore their relationship here on Earth, where no away mission would take her away from him.  And Kathryn Janeway would, once again, be shoved slowly out of the picture, left to live alone in an existence that Kathryn found all too frightening.

Kathryn sighed. It was her fault, no one else's, and there wasn't anything she could do about it. She was the one who had liberated Seven from the Borg. She was the one who had pushed Chakotay away time after time telling him that if they were home it would be different.  Only home came a little to late.

All she could do is be happy for them and hope she could find a little joy watching them grow into a family of two, maybe more. She would be the dutiful friend, standing by their side, pretending to be happy, when inside she would feel like dying.

"A penny for them," came the voice from behind her, breaking her melancholy train of thought.

She turned her head slightly to see Chakotay standing behind her. "How are you doing, Chakotay?"

"A little overwhelmed but I'm okay," he said, moving closer to lean up against the console right next to her.

"It looks as if the former Maquis are home free," she said.

"Yes, it sure does," he said. "Thank you for you help."

"I haven't done much, Chakotay. Only let them know that each and every man and woman that came over from the Liberty deserved to keep the rank they earned, and to keep their freedom." She smiled. "You and your former crew were more than I could ever have expected, and if I haven’t said it before, thank you."

"You are very welcome," said Chakotay. "Now, what's bothering you?"

"I've just been thinking about all I have gained and all I have lost," said Kathryn.

"And I take it that has to do with Seven?" asked Chakotay.

"Yes, actually," she said more than ready to get this conversation over with. "Are you happy?"

"That we are home? Yes, of course I am," he said.

"No, Chakotay, with Seven?" she said, letting him know she knew his little secret.

"Oh, that. How did you know?" he asked.

"The Admiral told me," she said.

"I'm sorry," he said, quietly.

"Don't be. I'm happy that you are happy. You are happy, aren't you?" she asked again.

He looked down. "I guess, I don’t know really," he admitted.

"Oh? Problems? Can I help?" she asked.

"I don’t know myself, or rather I do and I feel rather shallow about it. I think I have to figure it out for myself before others can help me," he said staring up to the woman who was quietly regenerating in front of them.

"Oh, okay, I'm here if you need me," she said.

"I know, thank you." He said, still keeping his eyes glued on Seven.

Moments passed in silence, both keeping an eye on the woman standing silently in front of them. The silence was uneasy, as if things still needed to be said but not sure how to say them.

Chakotay was the first to speak up. " If we were still on Voyager, it would be different. I could be happy with her but I'm not sure I would ever actually be in love." He said, noticing he now had Kathryn's attention.

"Don't get me wrong, I would love her, but that love would … be on the surface, not deep down. Enough to keep me happy yet I don’t believe entirely fulfilled."

Kathryn  was surprised. "And now that we are home its different?"

He turned to her. "You know it is."

Kathryn's heart began to flutter. "Explain it to me. I'm not sure I quite understand."

The corner of his mouth turned up. "All right, you want me to say it." He took a deep breath. "This was our time. When we finally could be together. A time that I never thought I would see so I felt I was right in moving on. Then Admiral Janeway came on board and changed everything."

Kathryn spoke quietly, suddenly afraid of waking the regenerating Borg, despite the fact that she knew she wouldn't. "Yes, she did. Chakotay, I don't know what to say. I've been standing here, staring at her, thinking how she stole the one thing I looked forward to when we finally arrived home. Are you saying she didn't?"

"Oh, she may have had me for a short while, a very short while, but no. I'm here, for you, if you'll still have me," he said, putting his hands on her waist and turning her to face him.

Kathryn stretched up on her toes, bringing her lips to his and placing a gentle, yet promising kiss on his, " I want you more than you could possibly know."

Chakotay grinned then kissed her back, his mouth covering hers in a more possessive kiss, his tongue snaking past her lips to find hers. His arms tightened around her waist, pulling her close, allowing her to feel the bulge that was growing each time her tongue met his.

Chakotay groaned, then pulled away, momentarily breaking contact to speak, "computer, Deactivate panels three and four of the auxiliary console in the cargobay." As soon as he heard the computer beep and saw the lights go out he hoisted Kathryn up, setting her on the console.

She reached back, bracing herself, suddenly aware of  his intention. "Tell me no, Kathryn."

"Never again Chakotay," she said, urging him on.

He smiled, his hands quickly reaching for the fasteners on her pants, pulling them down as she hoisted herself up slightly to free herself. He dove between her legs, nipping at her aching clit through her panties while his fingers dipped past the waist band to seek her moist center.Kathryn arched off the console, his actions with his mouth creating the most wonderful feelings through her, settling into the pit of her stomach where it built up. "Ohh, don’t stop, please," she pleaded, anxious for the release that threatened to burst forth.

Chakotay grinned as he pulled away, eliciting a groan from Kathryn. Looping his fingers around the waistband of her panties and pulling them off, giving them a toss before returning to his former position between her legs.He latched onto her clit with his teeth, pulling it gently, then releasing it only to latch his whole mouth onto it, sucking it while his fingers dipped into her moist hole.

Kathryn's head fell back, as she held on tightly to the console unable to stop the orgasm that ripped through her. She nearly screamed out, but caught herself. Her knees moving around Chakotay's head, keeping him in place as he lapped at her, drinking in her juices as they flowed out.She slowly came around, releasing the death grip she had on the console, and relaxing her knees, "Chakotay, you are incredible."

"And you are delicious," he said, sticking his sticky fingers into his mouth and licking them off.

Kathryn blushed at his comment, never before having someone comment to her in such a way. "We shouldn't be doing this here," she said, reluctant to go further.

Chakotay stood up, his hand moving to his own pants know, pulling them down to free his erection. "Tell me to stop and I will."

Kathryn stared wordlessly at the sight before her; his erection was perfect, at least to her, full, fairly long and thick. She had to have him inside her so she brought up one leg and wrapped it behind him, pulling him to her. He let her, and as he neared her he positioned his member at her entrance, allowing Kathryn to join them.

She was tight, the aftereffects of her orgasm gripping him tightly, making it difficult to keep his carefully reigned control. Taking a deep breath he slowly began to move, carefully filling her to the hilt then pulling out, only to plunge back in with more force each time.He picked up his pace, thrusting harder as his hands gripped her legs, pulling them apart, holding them in the air, allowing him to make closer contact.

Kathryn could feel it; her orgasm almost there, just waiting for the next thrust. He hit and that was it; it tore through her, harder than the one before. She nearly lost her grip on the console, one hand slipping so she reached out again, grabbing hold of the console at panel number one, never hearing the beep as she hit the button that would end Seven's regeneration cycle early.

Chakotay fell forward, leaning his head against her shoulder, closing his eyes as his final thrust brought forth his seed, spilling deep into her. He let go of her legs and wound his arms around her waist, holding her close. He whispered, "I love you, Kathryn," into her ear and smiled when he heard her whisper it back.

"I see.   I assume that since you have stated your feelings to Captain Janeway and have copulated with her on my console, that we are no longer involved in a personal relationship?" said Seven, eyeing the two in front of her.

Kathryn slid off the console, frantically searching for her clothes. She saw Seven bend down then stand back up. "I believe these are yours," she said plainly as she handed Kathryn her underwear. "The rest of your clothing is in various places around my regeneration unit."

"Uh, thanks, Seven," said Kathryn, still not sure of what to do.

Chakotay spoke up, "Seven, I'm sorry…"

"Do not be, Commander. I was aware of the Captain's feelings for you.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I do not believe I should not be present," she said before exiting the  cargo bay.

Chakotay turned to Kathryn. "Well, that’s one way of telling her it's over."

Kathryn tried not to laugh, but could no longer help it, "It sure is."
