“Lieutenant I was wondering if I could have a moment of your time, in private?” Seven didn’t often search out Belanna for anything other than engineering problems, yet her experience in the area of love might be of some help.
“What do you need Seven, I’m busy here.” Belanna rarely had time for seven.
“I’m sorry, I will leave you alone.”
“Seven, no I’m sorry, what do you need?”
“I need some advice, on a personal matter.”
“And your asking me?” that sure surprised Belanna
“Well, I believe that phrase I have heard before that best describes you, I ‘lucky in love’, and I also believe I can trust you to keep this private until this matter is resolved.”
“Are you saying you need advice in love seven?” Belanna was really surprised.
“Yes, are you willing to give it?”
“I would be glad to, but wouldn’t the captain be better suited to give you the advice?”
“No she would not.” Seven would offer nothing further.
“Alright, how about after my shift, I get off on 2 hours, but Tom doesn’t get off for another 4 hours, meet me at my quarters and that’ll give us some time to sort this out for you.”
“Thank you.” Responded seven, who then promptly returned to work.

The chime to Belanna’s quarters rang, so she opened the door to allow seven in, “right on time, I see.”
“You did say…”
“I was kidding seven, come in.” couldn’t that damn Borg take a joke. “Have a seat, would you like something to drink?”
“NO I do not require a refreshment at this time.”
Belanna got herself some wine from the replicator then sat on the couch, motioning for seven to sit on the chair close by. “So shoot seven, what is the problem. I’m assuming you like some one?”
“Yes, but I am uncertain on how to go about telling her.”
Belanna choked on the liquid, “Her, you like a woman Seven?”
“I do not believe there is anything wrong with this fact, I know of many other female, female couples on board voyager.”
“Well, I suppose not, I just didn’t assume that you were… well… you liked women.”
“I do believe I am attracted to both sexes, but the person I want to have a relationship with is female, and I need to know how to proceed.”
“Alright, let’s see. First thing is, does this female prefer women also, that can be the most important factor. Secondly, who is it?” Belanna really couldn’t believe this conversation.
“I am not certain, but I believe there has been certain signs that can lead me to believe she may be. As far as the identity, I’m not sure if I should say.”
“Come on seven, you know I won’t say anything. Besides, how can you expect me to help you if you won’t tell me anything.”
“Very well. It is Captain Janeway.” She said adamantly.
“WHAT???? You think Captain Janeway prefers women. I don’t think so seven.”
“I believe you are wrong, I have never seen the Captain date any men, and she has, as the Delany sisters put it, one of the most eligible bachelors after her. She likes to spend a lot of time with me, and is always touching me. She also said she could not wait to show me her home in Indiana.”
“Seven, first of all there is protocol, yes, she doesn’t have to follow it so exactly, but she does, hence the reason for not dating any males. Second she is always touching people, she’s simply a very tactile person. She was engaged to a man before. I could keep the list going, I just don’t see it.”
“There are other, more physical responses that I see, for instance…”
“Alright, I get the picture.” She didn’t need a description. She had never seen the captain in this way, but who was she to argue with a borg. “Ok, you do realize if you are wrong, it could create problems when you admit your feelings to her.”
“I do realize this, but I still want to proceed. What do you recommend?”
Belanna leaned back on the couch, and took a sip of her drink. She was trying to think of a safe way for seven to express her feeling, with minimal possible damage. It suddenly hit her, “I got it, we are hopefully going to have shore leave coming up soon if the scans of the upcoming planet hold true.”
“Yes, the third planet in sector 123…”
“Yes that one, it’s uninhabited and looks to be quite the paradise, I bet the captain is planning on taking some time to herself, you’ll give her most of the day to herself, she does need that. Then early evening, surprise her with a picnic dinner. Don’t be too suggestive with it, sandwiches and some wine, spend some time alone with her, in someplace romantic. It might give you some more insight into her feelings.”
“So you don’t think she’ll be upset for me joining her?”
“Well if she is she will simply ask you to leave. Don’t beam right on top of her, beam a short distance away, so you can approach her slowly and gauge whether or not she wants company.”
“And how will I know if she wants company or not?”
She sure asked a lot of questions, “you just will, follow my instructions, and you shouldn’t have any problems, ok.”
The two women continued to talk about seven’s plans until Tom arrived, then seven departed to make final plans.

Just like they assumed the planet was a paradise. Including several waterfalls, forests everything this weary ship of people needed. They decided to set down the ship, as the planet was completely deserted. Made up a shore leave rotation, so that Voyager could get a much-needed overhaul, and everyone could have plenty of time to rest and relax.
Captain Janeway was planning on her leave the second week they were there, so seven did the same.
It all, to seven, seemed to be going all to perfect. The two of them had spent a lot of time working on various areas of the ship. Seven tried to engage the captain in several conversations on where she was going to take her leave, the captain simply said she made sure the entire crew stayed completely away from one of the water falls, she was taking one of them all to herself, Captains prerogative.
After glancing at a nearby padd, seven now had the location; all she had to do was get the nerve to go through with it. She was not used to these feeling, Borg did not get nervous, yet borg also did not fall in love with their captains, a lot of new was going to be taking place.

The Captain had been on the planet for 7 hours now; seven entered the transporter room with everything she needed, and instructed the operator exactly where to send her. It would be a good fifteen-minute walk, but a much need one.
She arrived just in front of a dense thicket of trees and proceeded to make her way through them. After a short walk she could finally hear the roar of the waterfall off in the distance, through the trees she got a glimpse of it, it was beautiful.
She came upon the edge of the forest and froze. She did indeed spot the captain, lying nude at the bank of the pool at the bottom of the waterfall, Chakotay was with her, and his head was between her legs. Seven could see the Captain was clearly enjoying herself, for her moans could be heard over the roar of the waterfall. Her hands were in his hair, holding him firmly in place. Her hips began bucking up, she was nearing her climax, and she let out a scream, rose in the air and then fell back to the ground, clearly spent.
Chakotay then slowly moved up her body, placing kisses as he went, he paused at her breasts and began to slowly suckle on each one. The Captain seemed to be clearly enjoying this activity too. He continued to make his way up until they were face to face. Seven then saw the captain part her legs and wrap them around Chakotay’s waist. He then moved his hard member to her opening and slowly began to move in. He began thrusting hard, and she began meeting his thrusts, both of them moving in sync.
Seven new she should leave, but she had never actually observed anyone making love before, and despite the fact that the commander had her object of affection, she found it completely fascinating. She was about to make herself more comfortable on the ground when it suddenly dawned her. It was wrong to watch, she picked up the picnic basket and made her way back through the forest, before calling for a beam out.
She was back on voyager in seconds, acknowledged the ensign at the transporter controls and made her way back to her alcove. On her way she ran into Belanna, “Seven, I thought you were down on the planet, how did things go?”
“They did not. After carefully considering all that you said, I have concluded that the idea of me in a relationship with the Captain is ridiculous. And I do not want to jeopardize the relationship I already have with her, by admitting my feelings.”
“But seven, you were so sure that she felt the same way, what made you change your mind?”
“I thought about what you said.” She lied. “And I believe you were correct, the Captain was not showing me anything beyond what she shows many other crew members, I should not have, what is it Mr. Paris says, Jump to conclusions.”
“I see, are you ok?” Belanna asked genuinely concerned for the former drone.
“Yes, lieutenant, I am just fine, thank you for your concern. I was going to go regenerate early today, so if you will excuse me.” Seven replied, then quickly left.
Belanna watched Seven leave, she had to admit she was glad she didn’t go through with it, if she would have been successful, that was something Belanna didn’t want to see, “ewww, I think I need to go find Tom, get some good thoughts going here.” She laughed then left to go find Tom.
